Inner Camino House

REST. REFLECT. CONNECT. SHARE.

A place where you can pause for a moment during the day.

A place where you can rest, meet other pilgrims, and sit together for a while.

Where Camino stories are shared, and everyone continues their own walk afterwards.

Inner Camino House is a small rest place for pilgrims walking the Camino Francés.

It is located in the village of Viloria de Rioja,
between Santo Domingo de la Calzada and Belorado.

Where you are on the Camino

Inner Camino House is located in the village of
Viloria de Rioja, directlyon the Camino Francés.

If you are walking west, you will pass here about
18 kilometers after Santo Domingo de la Calzada and
about 5 kilometers before Belorado.

For many pilgrims this is somewhere
in the middle of the morning.

A moment when the body starts asking for a short break.

A drink, something small to eat, and a place
to sit down for a while.

That is exactly why Inner Camino House is here.

Practical things to know

A few practical things to know when you stop here.

Everything is self-service.

You take what you need and prepare something small for yourself.

Please wash the dishes you used and place them back where they belong so other pilgrims can use them as well.

Take the time you need to rest, but also leave space for other pilgrims who may arrive after you.

Thank you for helping to keep this place simple and welcoming for everyone who passes here.

The Inner Camino Bracelet

Near the entrance you may see a small bracelet.
It carries a round metal plate with the Inner Camino symbol.

Above the symbol are the words “Inner Camino.”
Below it are the words “I see Me.”

You are welcome to take one with you.
By wearing the bracelet you support yourself
on your own Inner Camino.

When fellow pilgrims see you wearing it,
it may also invite them to reflect on their own Inner Camino.

And after the Camino, when you look at the bracelet again,
it can bring you back for a moment
to the Camino and the experiences you had there.

For some pilgrims this helps when they feel the
effects of PCS, Post Camino Syndrome.

The bracelets are made possible by the donations of pilgrims who pass here.

The Your Inner Camino Podcast

During the day conversations often start
naturally between pilgrims.

Sometimes these conversations touch
something deeper.

A moment on the Camino.
A realization.
A challenge that appeared along the way.

When a pilgrim feels comfortable sharing their story,
I may invite them to record a short conversation for the
Your Inner Camino Podcast.

In this podcast pilgrims share moments from their
Camino that stayed with them.

Moments that changed something.
Camino Provides moments.

Moments where you leave something behind.

Moments of deep revelations.

You know, these kinds of things.

The things many people walk the Camino for.

The purpose of the podcast is simple.

To support pilgrims on their Inner Camino
while they are walking.

To support pilgrims after the Camino, helping them
stay connected with the spirit they experienced
on the path and easing the feeling many pilgrims
know as PCS, Post Camino Syndrome.

To offer inspiration to live closer to what feels
true in their own life.

The Your Inner Camino Podcast is a podcast
for pilgrims, by pilgrims.

The Your Inner Camino Meetings

At certain moments you may also come across the
Your Inner Camino Meeting.

The Camino is not only
a physical walk through
the landscape.

While walking, many pilgrims
also notice that something
begins to move inside themselves.

Thoughts, memories, emotions,
questions, or new insights.

The Your Inner Camino Meeting offers a moment to pause
and look at that inner movement.

During the meeting, pilgrims reflect on their experience so far.

Not to analyze it or change it,
but simply to notice what is happening inside while walking
the Camino.

By becoming aware of how we interpret what happens on the Camino, it becomes easier
to see the difference between
the events themselves and the stories we create around them.

For many pilgrims this brings a surprising clarity.

The meeting is not therapy,
coaching, or spiritual instruction.

Nothing is taught and
nothing is imposed.

It is simply a moment of shared reflection with other pilgrims who are walking their own Camino.

Meetings are sometimes held in
Inner Camino House
and sometimes at
another location in the village

and location can be found
