What is the Inner Camino House?

Choose your language

I would like to explain what this place is.

The Inner Camino House is a private initiative, not a commercial initiative.

The idea is to give pilgrims a home for a moment. So, we share our private space with you, pilgrim.

Make yourself comfortable

You are welcome to sit wherever you feel comfortable.

You can sit outside in the small garden, where there are chairs and where you can put your feet in a foot bath if you like.

You can sit on the covered terrace, protected from the sun. Or you can sit inside in the dining area or the living room.

You are also welcome to play the guitar or the piano if you would like to.

Kitchen

There is a kitchen area where we prepare some simple snacks. You can make yourself a sandwich or a toast.
There is a coffee machine, and you can also make yourself fresh orange juice.

If you would like a coffee, simply swipe through the different coffee options on the screen and press the image of the coffee you want. Do not press the plus button, just the image itself. The machine will do everything automatically. If it asks you something, simply ignore it and let it continue.

If you would like fresh orange juice, cut the orange and use the electric juicer.
Please do not use force. The machine will do the work by itself.

You prepare your own food and drinks. You help yourself.

And just like at home, when you are finished, we kindly ask you to do your dishes and place them on the left side of the counter. We will take care of the rest.

Everything here is based on donations.

Near the eggs you will find a donation jar and the Inner Camino House stamp.

By leaving a donation, you help support the pilgrims who come after you.

A few practical notes.

  • At the end of the living room, across the corridor, there is a toilet.
  • We are not a restaurant, bar, cafeteria, shop, or albergue. We are simply a resting place.
  • We are not permitted to serve alcohol, so alcoholic drinks are not available here.
  • And because this is a private home, we do not sell bottled water, soft drinks, or other beverages.
However, we have cooled water, tea, all kinds of different coffees, and of course, fresh orange juice.

How and what to donate

Everything that is available is offered as part of this donation-based initiative.
There is no price list. Please donate whatever you feel is appropriate.

Donations can be made in cash or via PayPal.

OH, we also have a Camino House pilgrim stamp.

A very special stamp.

Please feel free to ask Danny, his wife Carola, or one of the volunteers who help us about the story behind the stamp.

Thank you very much,
and welcome to the Inner Camino House.
